This is my Cuisinart Sucks story:: First of all:
great website...love it! Here's my story: Registered for all kinds of
Cuisinart appliances when we were getting married. Why? Who knows? I
suppose we were coerced by the store employees. Anyways, we received a
Cuisinart 4-slice toaster (works pretty good), a Cuisinart coffee
machine (husband hates it and wishes we had our old Mr. Coffee back),
and Cuisinart blender...which I HATE! I don't think I used the $100
blender even once in our first year of marriage, but recently I have
tried to use several times to make smoothies and guess what?
Impossible. Let me tell you what my smoothies consist of: a handful of
ice cubes, banana chunks and fresh strawberries...that is it. This
blender sucks so much that it cannot even blend a banana, much less
ice...so I don't know why there is a special button labeled "ice
crush"- doesn't work. In order to make a smoothie, I must stir in
between pulses in order to get the ice and fruit blended. What good is
a blender that cannot make a smoothie at the touch of a button? What
will it blend? I already know from a failed attempt at a pesto sauce
that it cannot be used as a food processor (so of course I went out and
got the Cuisinart mini-prep...wonder how long it will last). What can I
make in my $100 blender? The sick thing is that I chose the Cuisinart
blender because it was the only blender with a glass pitcher instead of
plastic. I thought that would help it last longer. But you know what,
after use number 6 (today) I noticed that the handle has cracks forming
at the top and bottom...awesome. Unbelievable.
