At least the Cuisinart Hotel and Spa is nice
This is my Cuisinart Sucks story:: Bought our cuisinart dec-1200c (serial number 90430) on March 13, 2010 from loblaws in Ottawa. After about 2.5 years of service the computer packed it in and the unit ceased to function in any way. A call to cuisinart resulted in the same consistent messaging that others have seen - their warranty is your problem to resolve. Mail it back and take your chances. When I enquired about their lack of local presence outside of Toronto, they told me that is how they are set up. When I mentioned that this is a pretty strong discentive to customers getting warranty work done, and that this was the last cuisinart that I would buy, there was no answer.
So, they don't care about customers.
Coincidently, a friend of mine just returned from Nevis in the Carribean Islands and he mentioned the cUisinart hotel and spa that is quite top class. Good to see they are spending our money well.
