This is my Cuisinart Sucks story: I had the same model and experienced similar issues.
All was well for the first week until, one morning when heading
downstairs, I smelled the very potent aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
The scent was somewhat stronger than usual, but this did not alarm me
until I found that the coffee maker had dispensed its content across my
entire kitchen counter.
Tried fixing and thought I had succeeded, but the situation repeated itself the following morning.
That's when I gave up and returned the defective son-of-a-gun.
