This is my Cuisinart Sucks story:: My $200, 3-month old, Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Custom 14 Food Processor: Brushed Stainless sucks. It was a Christmas gift.
I had used it several times and every time I used it, it would hop around on the counter like an off-balance washing machine. The last time I used it to grind up graham crackers - graham crackers! - it started smoking.
I called a "dahling" customer care representative, made me describe exactly where the smoke was originating from, as if she didn't believe my story. She gruffly told me I'd have to send my $200 food processor back, at my expense, and that it would take 4-6 weeks to repair! I wasn't even going to get a new one.
I sent it back and I found out today it was probably stolen by a Postal employee, who is now the proud owner of a bum food processor.
If I wasn't so mad about the whole situation, I'd be laughing.
My first one lasted 20 years. This isn't the same company and I will never again purchase anything from them.
Cuisinart Sucks. Period.
