If your device leaks, be prepared for Cuisinart to tell you just to clean it

This is my Cuisinart Sucks story:: DCC-1150 Series purchased 8 months ago and only used filtered water - it started leaking water all over the counter and of course all over the floor and when I emailed them. I have cleaned it a couple of times I got the "soak the carafe top in water and vinegar" response from them. After that, they said I could call customer support for further assistance. I don't really want to deal with it any longer. They obviously realize They are engineered crapily and know they can get away with telling you to clean it.

This is the model number of my defective Cuisinart device:: DCC-1150

After 1 year of using a newDCC -1200 Cusinart coffee maker, today it caught fire. Had I not been home to deal with it, who knows what would have happened.

I am more than annoyed that after 100.00 on a coffee maker Cuisnart it completely dies after 2 years!! In the past I have resorted to 30.00 sunbeam models that have lasted over a decade. Really? And you are still being advertised as one of the top ten coffee makers. Seriously?? I mean come on. Don't make the mistake of thinking I would be dumb enough to buy another one! Fool me once right? I especially love how really sincere people are writing in to help people fix Cusinart sucks coffee machine problems on review sites like amazon and ebay etc. The only thing is I should not have to find the right screw driver, clean a hose, then get another tool that I don't know how to use and then change the fuse and sauder WHAT??? WTF? Really. It's so obvious that this company has built in a defect so that yes..... wait for it....... buy another one. (NOT)!........Ever.

I have reviewed a bunch of coffee makers in the past few weeks and so far the Cuisinart DCC-1200 is the only one that I've recommended people NOT buy due to the possible fire hazard. It's in my best interests to recommend users buy a certain product (due to the Amazon affiliate program) but I just couldn't do that.

I also think that certain things must be predicted, and if you don't really want to deal with it any longer, just buy nothing and use long-standing methods to prepare a cup of coffee.
