No more severed fingers but I might be electrocuted by my Cuisinart coffee pot

This is my Cuisinart Sucks story::  After nearly severing a finger on a broken glass coffee carafe, I bought a Cuisinart with a stainless steel one. It's about 5 1/2 years old and it leaks water all over the kitchen counter. Obviously, it cannot be used with the timer function. Cuisinart says it's out of warranty.
